Is Your Child Feeling Overwhelmed, Acting Out, or Shutting Down?

You’re not alone — and your child doesn’t have to go through this alone either.

Watching your child struggle with anxiety, anger, sadness, or school challenges can leave you feeling helpless. As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to not have the tools to support them in the way they need. That’s where I come in.

I provide child therapy and teen counseling that is safe, creative, and developmentally appropriate. My approach is rooted in compassion, structure, and play—meeting your child where they are, while giving you the support and guidance you deserve.

I’m a bilingual (Spanish-English) licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and families through emotional and behavioral difficulties.

I Help Children & Teens Who Are Experiencing:

    • Childhood anxiety or depression
When big feelings feel too heavy to carry alone

    • ADHD and attention-related challenges
Supporting emotional regulation, focus, and self-esteem

    • Emotional shutdowns or intense outbursts
Helping kids feel safe to express, not suppress, emotions

    • Behavioral issues and school struggles
Partnering with parents and educators for consistent support

    • Family transitions, divorce, or grief
Navigating life changes with resilience and security

    • Low self-esteem or identity concerns
Fostering confidence and belonging in an overwhelming world

Every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. My therapy space gives them the tools and trust to start that journey.

What to Expect in Child & Teen Therapy

Children don’t always have the words to express how they’re feeling—and that’s okay. I use developmentally sensitive and expressive therapy techniques that go beyond talk therapy to help kids process their inner world.

    Here’s what therapy might include:

    • Art Journaling
Drawing, painting, and creative reflection to explore thoughts and feelings safely

    • Sandtray Therapy
A powerful way for children to make sense of their emotions through metaphor and play

    • Expressive Arts Therapy
Movement, drama, storytelling, and imaginative play to access healing and growth

    • Music and Poetry
Rhythmic and lyrical tools to express feelings and build emotional vocabulary

Therapy is a collaborative process. I work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure your child’s progress continues at home and school—with regular updates, tools, and strategies to support your entire family system.

    A Little About Me

    I’m not just a therapist. I’m also:

    • mom and family caregiver who understands the daily emotional demands of parenting

    • Someone who’s felt the same doubts and pressure of wondering, “Am I doing enough?”

    • A human being who shows up with compassion, creativity, and realism—not judgment

These lived experiences allow me to build authentic connections with children and families from diverse backgrounds and needs.

    Why I Became a Therapist

From a young age, I was drawn to holding space for others—listening deeply, offering comfort, and helping people feel safe. That natural gift evolved into a passion for mental health, and for over two decades, I’ve supported children and teens as they:

    • Heal from emotional wounds

    • Reconnect with their strengths

    • Discover who they are beyond their struggles

There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child regain their spark and a family rediscover harmony.
